A 67-Year-Old Woman with Chronically Inflamed, Irritated Skin

During her first visit, this 67-year-old woman asked if anything could be done for “the capillaries on my face”. She said they had been present for many years, and nothing she used seemed to help. And in fact, her condition often became worse.

When she said, she was currently using only a “simple moisturizer”, I checked the ingredients on the label and saw that they weren’t as simple as she thought, as they contained many petroleum-based compounds, fragrances, and emulsifiers.

During my initial examination of this woman, I noticed:

Prominent capillaries across her cheeks, nose and forehead, with scattered hyperpigmentation.

Her skin felt dry and rough with diffuse redness.

There was some wrinkling around her eyes and mouth.

Solar-related hyperpigmentation and wrinkling.

A possible chemical reaction to the “simple” moisturizer she was using.

I advised her to stop using the moisturizer, as it may be aggravating her skin problem. I prescribed the following mixture:

*Base Cream: High Classic -which contains phosphatidylcholine, shea butter, ceramide, squalane, and natural moisturizers

*Kigelia Extract as an anti-inflammatory and wrinkle reduction

*Vitamin A

*Whitening Concentrate

*Liposome Concentrate Plus- which contains highly enriched native phosphatidylcholine (a bio-identical and strongly anti-inflammatory fatty acid) in a liposomal dispersion.

I also advised her to change to Dermaveen soap-free wash, which contains oatmeal oil it is a combined moisturizer and cleanser, with strong anti-inflammatory effects, at a low cost.

This second photo was taken about two months after she began my prescribed treatment. You can see the results in her after photographs, where her skin is almost devoid of broken blood vessels and bad pigmentation. It now has a fresh glow. and is noticeably less wrinkled.
