A 63-Year-Old Ex-Smoker with Prematurely Aged Skin

This woman looked about ten years older than her stated age. She hadn’t taken care of her skin very well, so there were signs of dryness, pigmentation and wrinkling.

Her diet wasn’t ideal, so she was probably lacking essential fatty acids and antioxidants.

She had all the features of damaged collagen and elastin with her wrinkling, sagging skin – especially around the lower part of her face – and pigmentation problems from unprotected solar exposure.

Her skin improved considerably after only six weeks of treatment that involved DMS Classic Plus base cream with added active agents vitamin A, Kigelia extract and green tea extract. There’s a noticeable reduction even in her deep wrinkles, and her skin looks much smoother and softer.

As a cleanser and moisturizer, I advised her to use CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser

She was advised to continue this treatment for three more months, she will need long-term treatment to maintain her improvement. I’m happy to report that she’s very happy with the results of this relatively simple and inexpensive treatment.

You will notice that my treatment programs these days are more complicated, I believe some people will improve with just one cream containing active ingredients in an appropriate base. The patients I have shown you had pretty straightforward problems, but most people benefit from a more complex routine targeting several areas with different products.

However, if cost and complexity are a concern, I have created a table at the beginning of each article, which describes the “essentials” using less expensive but still affordable products.

I don’t have photos of patients with acne or rosacea but can assure you that they responded equally well to the treatments as I have described in sections about these conditions.
